John David Meyer

    Attorney John David Meyer is a highly respected attorney with an extensive career dedicated to both law and community service. He has been admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and has served on the Kentucky Bar Association Board of Governors. John David served as the Kentucky Bar Association President from 2021-2022, following his role as Vice President (2020-2021) and President-Elect (2019-2020). He also chairs the Kentucky Bar Association Rural Practice Task Force since 2022.

     His commitment to the legal community extends through various leadership roles, including serving as a Kentucky Bar Association Fellow and a member of the Kentucky Bar Foundation Board in 2012-2013. John David has been deeply involved in substance abuse recovery and community organizations, holding board positions with Lighthouse Recovery Services Inc., Owensboro Health Foundation Inc. (2011-2017), and Owensboro Regional Recovery LTD (2005-present). He has also served on the Audubon Area Community Services Board since 2006.

    A passionate advocate for local youth, John David is an active volunteer in Owensboro Catholic League, coaching basketball and softball, and serving as the softball PA announcer for Owensboro Catholic High School. His diverse contributions reflect his dedication to both his legal profession and his community.
